Logging In: You will receive an invitation to log in to MyCase, which will be sent to your gavvloc.com email address. Your login credentials will be your gavvloc.com email address, and you’ll be prompted to create a password during your initial login.
Usage: Please exclusively use MyCase for managing all matters related to Gavvl. Kindly refrain from using your personal or any other CRM system to handle Gavvl clients.
Expectations: Of Counsel are expected to update the Case Stage in MyCase regularly for their assigned scopes. Please also be sure to upload all documentation related to your matter, including your Notice of Limited Scope Appearance of Counsel and Notice of Completion.
- Payment Approval: Payments are approved if the following criteria are met:
- Drafting:
- 1 of 2: Your first payment will be approved so long as the Case Stage is set to at least “Initial Draft of Documents” and it is clear you’ve been in communication with the Client.
- 2 of 2: Your second payment will be approved so long as the Case Stage is set to “Scope Complete” and all documents have been uploaded to MyCase.
- Appearance:
- 1 of 2: Your first payment will be approved so long as your Notice of Limited Scope Appearance has been filed and uploaded in MyCase and the Case Stage is set at “Filing Notice of Limited Scope Appearance”.
- 2 of 2: Your second payment will be approved so long as your Notice of Completion has been filed and uploaded in MyCase and the Case Stage is set to “Scope Complete”.

Logging in: You will receive an email at your gavvloc.com address containing a link to Grasshopper, where you can set your password. Grasshopper is accessible via web browser or as a mobile app.Communication Setup: Please ensure you’ve provided us with your forwarding phone number, office hours, and preferred email address for receiving messages. Each Of Counsel will receive a unique extension to facilitate direct client contact, improving communication and addressing previous issues with OpenPhone.Outbound Calls: When contacting Gavvl clients, you may use your personal cell or office phone. Please dial *69 before calling to ensure clarity for our clients. We aim to maintain professionalism and avoid confusion, as calls identified as your personal firm may confuse the client and reflect poorly on Gavvl. We appreciate your cooperation in making interactions with Gavvl a positive experience. Optionally, you can use Grasshopper for client calls as well.
- Logging in: When you start with Gavvl, you’ll receive an invitation to log in to your gavvloc.com email address via Outlook. The initial email will include a pre-defined password for logging in.
- Use: Please exclusively use your gavvloc.com email address when corresponding with Gavvl clients. Important client agreements and communications from Gavvl will be sent directly to your gavvloc.com email address, so please check it regularly.

- Use: Please feel free to use fax.plus for all faxes related to Gavvl clients.
- Logging in: Your Hona login is your gavvloc email address, and the initial password will be GavvlOC!, which you can change upon login. We encourage everyone to utilize Hona for direct client messaging, easily facilitated by downloading the Hona Chrome Extension if you use that browser.
- While some may have reservations about using Hona for direct client messaging, we appreciate your feedback and encourage its continued use as we explore other options. Hona serves as a 24/7 accessible portal for clients to monitor their case status, receive regular updates, and utilize a visual tracker for case progress. Clear start and end points in legal matters under Limited Scope Representation are vital for clients to understand their engagement with Gavvl and clarify the role of Of Counsel throughout the process. Hona updates clients based on the Case Stage in MyCase, emphasizing the importance of updating this information.
